Daifuku
Daifuku holds up two navy banners reading 大入 — ōiri — the sign hung backstage in Japan when every last seat is sold. It means a full house. Good crowds, good business, good luck rolling in.
He takes this job very seriously. He has not put the banners down once.
Round enough to sit on your desk and stare at you encouragingly. Soft charcoal spots, orange ears, and one small brass bell that he did not consent to but has learned to live with. Hand-set embroidered whiskers, appliquéd banners, and a body engineered almost entirely for squishing.
Daifuku is the first of the Doomaine cats. The others are coming, and they all have opinions about which flavour is best.
Fortune not guaranteed. Cuteness is.
